Packing the equipment necessary for this trip will be quite daunting. Due to weight constrains, I cannot pack more than 30 kg’s on my flight or I shall have to pay for the excess weight. Not a nice thought seeing that it’s cheaper to ship the stuff there rather than take it onboard. So that leaves the few essentials. (My apologies for being too technical, if you do not get sexually excited at the mention of processor speeds and the amount of data you can transfer to pendrive under 10 seconds, please skip this part and look at the pretty pictures)

What a Mess - Sigh

Music and The Like

Music is probably the most beautiful thing ever created by man. Also in the wrong hands, music can be a deadly weapon. Music used to be a way to relax, celebrate life, and entertain other people. Now music is only heard in ‘Kara-ok Bar’s’ where the singers themselves are deaf and therefore cannot hear the amount of glasses that are breaking behind the counter.

Also, there was a time when every song that came out was an original. People pulled the hair out of their scalps just to find the words. But with modern technology, there is no need for the brain stressing session. We just load up a song from our library and get some stupid boy to do a very bad frog imitation and record the greatest hit every to hit the modern society. (Damn Crazy Frog’s … our children will think that a purple frog starred in Miami Vice)

… Err … yeah … so to save myself from the iron fist grip that purple frog has on our music, I brought a long a few essentials. No need for introductions, you all should know what they are.

Music - So Wonderful

The Digital Notebook

A necessity for almost every student, a laptop is more than just a tool used to download free porn and contact chicks through MSN Messenger. It can also be used for word processing, digital photo editing, coding, hacking into campus servers and the likes …

But of course the main reasons are obviously the first two. Yes yes, I can hear how disappointed you guys must be but even I need to chill out to a game of Half Life 2 once in a while.

And of course, the real killer … Mobile x700 Graphics card

Plane flies off Sunday. Danny Kia Singing out

As the day of reckoning draws closer and closer, it makes you think about the things you’re going to miss. Like your friends and family, your car, your room, your crazy little dogs, your already deformed sofa, and everything else that has sustained you for the past 20 years.

After all, where else can you get a steaming hot mug of ‘Teh Tarik’ and ‘Roti Canai’ anytime of the day? Or defy the legal speed limit and be caught, only to part with RM 20 (less than 3 Pound Sterling) *Ahem* Kopi Lui . Malaysia is truly a paradise is you’re an easy going, care free person.

But even with its wonderful unique culture, foreigners still think of Malaysia as a backwater country. A place where people live on trees and eat horrid smelling things called ‘Durians’. The people responsible for this are none other than the host on shows like ‘Cook with Floyd’, or ‘Weird Cuisines’ on the Discovery Travel and Adventure.

The spiky fruit of death - Foul smelling and deadly to foreigners

Therefore as I take it upon myself to report the lifestyle and culture of a country which some people say have reached the pinnacle of civilization, The United Kingdom. This blog will document my life and their lives whiles I study there. (That and having some fun in the process)

It will be a long and tedious process but I promise I will do my best to report the news as they happen without any censorship or unethical reporting tactics. Until then, Danny Kia out
